1) The British aristocracy experienced dramatic changes in its fortunes in the period 1890-1950. Using any of the texts that we have read in class, make an argument for how that text depicts the aristocracy’s changed position in British society.

4) How can narrative techniques/structures influence our understanding of social class? Analyze any one of the texts that we have read in class with regard to its narrative techniques and how these bear upon issues of social class.
